The Master of Music in Music Education (MMME) is designed for currently licensed, practicing music teachers. This degree program can be completed 100% online, allowing you to earn an advanced music degree on your own time, while continuing your teaching career. The MMME curriculum emphasizes practical applications of music and music education content in K-12 music classrooms. Through the MMME, you will enhance your skills, improve your students' achievement and increase your earning potential.

 

Program Learning Outcomes

1. Engage in scholarly inquiry/action research related to music education that is grounded in relevant scholarship in the field;
2. Apply current research in music education to develop and implement pedagogical practices in their local teaching contexts;
3. Understand historical issues and current trends related to K-12 music education;
4. Advance the music education profession through contributions to local, regional, and/or national conferences, presentations, and/or publications.
