Many of the courses have prerequisites that must be satisfied.  Prerequisites will be detailed in the course descriptions.

Undergraduate Program Prerequisites and Policy

Online Course Format

Montana State University offers a series of fully online undergraduate courses. Courses in this program are delivered using Desire2Learn (D2L), which is MSU’s online learning management system. Most courses in this program adhere to the traditional campus calendar and will have due dates for homework, quizzes, exams, etc. Exams are taken through D2L, although some online courses may require you to find a proctor or testing center in your area to take exams. The online courses are often the same courses and taught by the same faculty as the on-campus versions.

You can watch an overview video describing the basics of Desire2Learn:

Tutoring

MSU Smarty Cats may offer distance tutoring for select courses for a minimal fee.

Academic Advisement

Academic advisement is provided to each student to tailor a program of study based on individual academic background.
