Dr. Daniel Miller

Dean for Global Engagement and International Programs

Responsible for oversight of the Office of International Programs and advancement of the University's global engagement strategy.


Dr. Daniel A. Miller joined the Office of International Programs in January 2024. As the Dean for Global Engagement and International Programs, he is responsible for the overall oversight of the Office of International Programs and the advancement of the University's global engagement strategy.

Dr. Miller originally joined Montana State in 2008 as a professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department, in 2014, Dr. Miller became the head of the department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, the largest department at Montana State University. In 2021, Dan Miller took over as the Interim Dean for Jake Jabs College of Business and Entrepreneurship, a role he held until transitioning to the Office of International Programs.

Dr. Miller received a Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering as well as his doctorate in engineering and applied mechanics from Montana State Unviersity. He also has a master's degree in aeronautical engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology.

Dr. Miller has over 20 years of higher education experience and previously spent 21 years as an active-duty Air Force officer, serving as a faculty member at the Air Force Academy and as a test squadron commander at Arnold Air Force Base in Tennessee.

In his free time, Dr. Miller, originally from the small town of Libby, Montana, is an active outdoorsman, who enjoys Backpacking, Hiking, Hunting and Fishing. Dr. Miller is also an active member of the community, and is a member of several organizations in Bozeman.

Ted Lange

Ted Lange

Business Operations Manager

Oversees the fiscal and human resource operations within the department and is responsible for various special initiatives that advance the global objectives for Montana State University. Provides administrative support for both the Vice Provost and the Director of International Student Services.

Originally from the New York City area, Ted has lived in Montana since 1991, and he and his family have lived in Bozeman since 2000. His career has included many years working for nonprofit organizations, as well as MSU Extension, plus several years of consulting work. He brings a great variety of experience in project and grants management, as well as communications and marketing.

He graduated from Williams College in 1988 with a BA in Geology with a Concentration in Environmental Studies. In Spring 2018, he earned a Business Management Professional Certificate from Gallatin College. He joined OIP’s International Training and Professional Development Programs Division in Fall 2018.

Outside the office, Ted loves exploring Montana’s mountains and rivers. Climbing, mountain biking, snowboarding and paddling are some of his favorite ways to enjoy our region’s vast and spectacular wild places. He also enjoys travelling internationally with his family.

Brennan Reeves

Director of International Student and Scholar Services

Oversees daily operations across International Admissions and Recruitment and International Student and Scholar Services.  

Brennan Reeves joined the Office of International of International Programs as the Director of International Student and Scholar Services in November of 2020. He is responsible for international admissions, recruitment, and student immigration processes.

Originally from Alabama, Brennan has worked in a variety of positions in international education and has a decade of experience in the field. His goals are to boost international enrollment, help international students become an integral part of the campus and community, and to ensure that MSU’s international students have a successful, transformative experience here in Bozeman.

Outside of work, Brennan enjoys traveling with his wife and all things outdoors.

Anna Floyd

International Student Recruiter

Responsible for international student enrollment growth at MSU through developing and executing recruitment strategies, working closely with educational partners and students to introduce MSU, and assisting the students during the application process.

Anna earned dual bachelor’s degrees in Plan II Honors and European Studies from the University of Texas at Austin, in her hometown. Growing up around various Latinx cultures in Texas piqued her affinity for intercultural exchange; she traveled in Central America and Europe throughout her early life and studied abroad in Lisbon, Portugal during her career at UT. These experiences, along with international friendships formed through summer jobs in Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park, reinforced her commitment to the idea that diversity is an integral part of a fulfilling life and a kinder world. After spending several years working for conservation corps in the Rocky Mountain West and the US Forest Service, she landed at MSU in 2019 and joined the Office of International Programs in April 2022.Anna is passionate about increasing international student enrollment at MSU with the end goal of bringing the world to Montana and Montana to the world.

In her free time, Anna enjoys watching every Liverpool game, doing yoga, cooking, hiking, thrifting, reading military history books, practicing Spanish and Portuguese, and spending time with family.

Daniel Rosenberg

International Admissions Evaluator

Responsible for advancing MSU’s international enrollment goals through processing and evaluating international applications.


An Oregon native, Daniel received his bachelor's degree in French Studies from the University of Oregon. After graduating, he traveled to France to teach English through the government sponsored languaged assistantship program TAPIF. He then spent the next seven years teaching English in Shanghai and Taiwan. During his travels, he further his passion for languages, history and learning about foreign cultures. In May 2024, Daniel joined the Office of International Programs where he helps students acheive their goals by obtaining admission to MSU.
 
In his spare time, Daniel likes to listen to audiobooks, exercise, study languages, and spending time outdoors with his dog, Ivan.

Holly Jeide

Senior Immigration & Compliance Specialist

Advises incoming and current international F-1/J-1 students and scholars as a Designated School Official (DSO) and Alternate Responsible Officer (RO); maintains immigration records in SEVIS; supports immigration compliance as the senior F-1 & J-1 immigration specialist; assists with employment documentation for students and scholars; conducts audits of international student/scholar records; manages the arrival program for new international students; assists with cultural adjustment; and acts as a liaison with on-campus support offices, such as Student Health Partners, University Housing and others.

Holly Jeide was born and raised in Montana, though life has taken her far beyond the borders of the Treasure State and recently brought her back home again. Since March 2022, Holly has been working as a compliance specialist within the Office of International Programs’ International Student & Scholar Services division and is excited to be an ambassador on behalf of MSU and Montana in general, to our international students and scholars.

Holly received a bachelor’s degree in communications/public relations from George Mason University (GMU) in Fairfax, VA while living and working in the Washington, DC area. While a student at GMU, Holly was fortunate to have had multiple opportunities to study abroad in both Chile and the UK. Professionally, Holly’s years in the DC area included time spent working in the US Senate on Capitol Hill, doing communications work for a non-profit grantee of the Pew Charitable Trusts, and in support of federal-level social science research and development programs. Her return to Montana brought a shift in focus to her work, to include process improvement in education and healthcare operations.

Outside of work hours, Holly enjoys cycling and hiking, as well as chasing waterfalls and jumping in puddles with her husband and two sons.

Emily Richardson

In their spare time, Emily enjoys learning new languages, skiing, and playing Dungeons & Dragons. They are thrilled to be an ambassador for MSU and Montana!

Stacey Neve

Study Abroad Program Manager

The Study Abroad Manager is a part of the OIP leadership team within the Office of International Programs. The Study Abroad Manager is responsible for the delivery, oversight, and compliance of study abroad programs for MSU. The direct area of oversight includes, but is not limited to advising to outbound study abroad students, management of international partnerships, incoming exchange program management, study abroad marketing and outreach as well as the supervision and coordination of all functions within the study abroad unit.

Stacey Neve is the Study Abroad Manager for the Office of International Programs. 

Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, Stacey earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Tulane University. In addition to studying abroad in Italy during undergrad, she spent several years teaching in Spain, Peru, Honduras, and Tunisia. All of those experiences had a profound impact on her life, and she is enthusiastic about facilitating international experiences for others.

Stacey is currently working on a Master of Public Administration at MSU. When she gets a break from work and school, she is an avid reader, hiker, and baker.

Toby

Toby Blake

Faculty Led Study Abroad

Responsible for the program coordination of all MSU Faculty-Led Study Abroad programs. 

Toby helps to coordinate group and faculty-led study abroad programs at Montana State. He has served as Assistant Director for Multicultural Student Programs and Services at the University of Notre Dame. Once, Toby fell out of a window and broke his left elbow during a firefighter training exercise. Despite his injury, Toby went on to receive the Ibn Battuta Award for Anthropology and the Sheikh Ahmed Zaki Yamani Scholarship for Arabic Studies in Morocco from Kansas State University. Toby attended Graduate School at Notre Dame to study Ancient Near East Languages and Literature and worked abroad at the Iron Age II archaeological site, Khirbet Qeiyafa, during which one of the oldest proto-Hebrew inscribed ostraca was discovered. Toby has owned and managed an independent craft liquor distributor for ten years. He lives in Bozeman with a sociologist, an archer, and a dog named, Jack.

Erin Holleran

Study Abroad Coordinator

The Study Abroad Program Coordinator supports MSU students during the study abroad process, including study abroad advising, application review, pre-departure orientations, support while abroad, and post program transcript evaluation as part of the transition students make back to MSU. This position also assists with outreach, marketing, and back-up support for incoming exchange students. The Study Abroad Program Coordinator also manages all CCIS study abroad programs administered by MSU.

As Study Abroad Program Coordinator, Erin helps support MSU students through all stages of the study abroad process.

Erin grew up in Missouri and earned degrees in Agricultural Economics and French. Prior to joining MSU, she worked in several overseas positions in international development in Africa, Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East. Outside of work, Erin enjoys hiking, traveling, reading, and learning to play the guitar.

International Training & Professional Development Programs

Develops, facilitates, and oversees the operations of all International Training Programs, both State Department-funded programs such as the Middle East Partnership Initiative Student Leaders Program (MEPI SLP) and the Fulbright Teaching Excellence & Achievement Program (FTEA), and non-State Department programs such as the Long-term Education Administrators' Program (LEAP) sponsored by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Sports, Science, and Culture (MEXT),  and the Okinawa Global Leadership Program sponsored by Okinawa Board of Education; Liaises with program officers from International Research & Exchanges Board (IREX), Georgetown University, the State Department, and others; Provides financial and administrative oversight, and manages the reporting monitoring, and evaluation of all programs.  

Janelle Rasmussen has worked in the international education field for over 20 years, including two years spent as an ESL instructor in Japan. She joined the MSU Office of International programs in January of 2001 and has facilitated numerous U.S. State Department-funded grant programs, most recently to include ILEP (International Leaders in Education Program), TEA (Teaching Excellence and Achievement) and the MEPI (Middle East Partnership Initiative) Student Leaders Program. She also manages a very prestigious year-long professional development training program that MSU has hosted for the past 18 years, focused on International Higher Education, designed for trainees from the Ministry of Education in Japan.  Janelle is very active in the IE field and has served in several National positions for the NAFSA Association for International Educators, including the Region II Montana State Representative, the Education Abroad Policy and Practice committee, Co-Chair for the Middle East Interest Group (MEIG), and currently as the Co-Chair to the United Nations Special Interest Group and as one of the three NAFSA representatives to the United Nations DPI-NGO.

Manages logistical coordination and oversees implementation for all incoming non-State Department short-term international programs, including the Long-term Education Administrators' Program (LEAP) sponsored by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Sports, Science, and Culture (MEXT),  and the Okinawa Global Leadership Program sponsored by Okinawa Board of Education; Collaborates with our partners: Kumamoto University, Rikkyo University, Naha Nikkei Business School, China University of Geoscience, Huazhong Agricultural Univer​sity, and universities in Mexico; Engages and manages in coordinating homestays and connects with community organizations to enable cross-cultural connections for program participants. 

Makiko Diehl was born and raised in Kumamoto, Japan and moved to Bozeman in 2007. She completed a degree in English at Kumamoto Gakuen University in Japan, and then a second bachelor's degree in Family and Consumer Sciences at Montana State University. She started working in the Professional Development and Training Division in January 2011. She currently works as a Program Manager and has made a large impact on OIP's Japanese Training Programs such as Long-term Educational Administrators Program (LEAP), Okinawa Global Leadership Student and Teaching Training Programs, and the National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS) Internship program,

Kevin Bratsky

The Program Coordinator for the International Training Programs and Professional Development team works within the department to support program participants with diverse cultural backgrounds, facilitate group activities, and manage group dynamics. They also coordinate all logistics in relation to short-term programs for incoming foreign participants and helps to manage approved budgets for grant programs.

Kevin Bratsky works as a program coordinator in the Office of International Studies & Training and Development team. He has returned to Montana State University after being away for 20 years.


Kevin has substantial teaching experience, including a lengthy stay at South Korea's Andong National University. He has also taught basic English classes,mparticularly teacher training programs for existing and future Korean high school English teachers. He later spent many years teaching at a bilingual school in Bangkok, Thailand.


His extensive time abroad has provided him with a global network of connections, which he hopes to develop through his work at the Office of International Programs. His focus on the Fulbright Teaching Excellence & Achievement Program and the Middle East Partnership Initiative Student Leaders Program is his favorite aspect of his job in the Training and Development team. Working with these programs allows him to experience international culture from the comfort of his office. He enjoys making significant connections with others, particularly those from unique backgrounds. This is the kind of excitement that keeps drawing him back to extremely multinational settings.
