Hi! My name is Denver. If you know me then you know that I have a strong desire to make other people’s lives better. It’s become a pattern in my life. When I was 16, I started working at Ace Hardware in Whitefish, MT. I will never forget going through one of the Ace online trainings and learning about their goal to create an amazing customer experience. So, I worked there for about 4 years and learned all I’d need for any home repair, but more importantly, this is where I learned about my passion and how I can learn things to help other people. Toward the end of my time at Ace Hardware, I started attending classes in Industrial Engineering at Montana State University. I have since realized that Engineering is not a passion of mine, however, I learned a lot about how to think logically and how to communicate with engineers. During that time, I applied and was hired as a Resident Advisor. In that role, I was able to further expand on what I learned about myself at Ace Hardware. Rather than help people with their DIY projects, I had opportunities to help freshmen DIY their first year of college and their first year away from home. I have since graduated and decided that I wanted to stick around for a little bit, that is when I applied and was hired as a Community Director here at MSU. My job not only allows me to fulfill my extroverted tendencies, but I also get to practice creating an amazing on-campus experience for as many students as I can. I hope to be a friendly face on campus, so please stop by my office, or say hi if you see me walking around. Go Cats!
