New faculty orientation aims to build a welcoming and inclusive culture and empower faculty to monitor their own progress towards achieving their career goals and success. The sessions promotes early engagement with campus systems, student support services and pedagogical best practices and connects you to a network of mentors and other key resources.

Early Career Faculty Success Program

Orientation of new faculty plays an essential role in establishing the culture of the university. Our Early Career Faculty Success Program is designed with this idea in mind. It is aimed to build a welcoming and inclusive culture , aligned with the university's objectives and land-grant mission, that spreads into classroom, research, creative and community spaces. The program also aims to empower faculty to monitor their own progress towards achieving their career goals and success by

  • Reducing confusion and stress by outlining expectations and timelines in a centralized, user-friendly format
  • Promoting early engagement with campus systems, student support services and pedagogical best practices.
  • Seeking internal and external grants to support education, community engagement, research and creativity.
  • Connecting them to a network of mentors and other key resources.
