Family and Consumer Sciences
The focus of the FCS program is to improve individual and family behaviors, and community well-being. Agents offer programs aimed at providing education and resources relating to food and nutrition, health and wellness, and a wide range of family issues such as changing family structures, inter-generational relations; human response to stress and crisis; family laws, finance and economics; and decision-making.

Stay current on the latest food safety information with ServSafe Food Manager training. Topics covered in this course include personal hygiene, cross-contamination, time and temperature, and cleaning and sanitizing. ServSafe Food Manager is an ANSI-CFP accredited program administered by the National Restaurant Association. This full-day program includes in-person course delivery and the proctored exam. The course fee is $125.

StrongPeople is an evidence-based strength training program designed for older adults who want to stay strong, fit, and healthy. Each class progresses through a series of 8-10 exercises focused on resistance training, balance, and flexibility.
