Dr. Christine Lux is the Don and Sue Fisher Professor of Early Childhood Education in MSU’s Department of Human Development & Community Health. Dr. Lux began her career as a preschool teacher before moving into early childhood program administration and early childhood teacher education. At MSU, she is the Program Leader for the Early Childhood Education Preschool – Grade 3 Teacher Education Program. For more than 30 years, Dr. Lux has worked for and with young children and their families and serves on a variety of local, state, and national councils and boards to support the early childhood profession. 

Dr. Lux is a member of the Montana Community Schools Coalition, whose purpose is to champion and expand the implementation of Community Schools by fostering equity and collaboration among families, educators, and community members to help all children thrive. Dr. Lux aims to establish a University Assisted Community Schools model to support rural districts and schools across Montana.
