Judicial Branch - ASMSU Supreme Court
The ASMSU Supreme Court is composed of seven student justices who are nominated by the ASMSU President and approved by the ASMSU Senate. Justices serve on the Court as long as they remain eligible ASMSU students.
The Supreme Court is responsible for interpreting and reviewing the ASMSU Constitution and Bylaws, considering student appeals, and overseeing ASMSU elections. The Court serves an important role in ensuring ASMSU’s governing documents and processes are followed fairly and consistently.
For questions or assistance, contact the Chief Justice at asmsucj@montana.edu.
The Supreme Court meets every week on TBD, excluding holidays.

Bio: Hey Bobcats! My name is Brooklynn Haab, and I’m a freshman Honors student majoring in Microbiology. I’m passionate about medicine, research, and making a positive impact on campus. Nick Willett
Associate Justice
Hello Bobcats! My name is Nicholas Willett, and I am a 24 y/o sophomore studying Mechanical
Engineering Technology. I am a non-traditional student; after high school in Billings,
I obtained my EMT license and started working as a Firefighter EMT. After this
chapter in my life, I wanted to start college, so I worked night shifts as an anesthesia
tech at a trauma center, and during the day I attended MSU Billings. After hearing
of programs and opportunities at MSU I decided to transfer to Bozeman and enroll
as a full time student. I am now involved in AFROTC, BOREALIS (which is a platform
for performing experiments in the upper stratosphere), and I am also an officer in
The Society of Physics Students. Outside of school, you can find me cheering the
loudest at Bobcat sporting events. I believe that advocation is important and a strong
student body starts with strong leadership. I am incredibly proud to represent my
fellow Bobcats! Reach out and swing by SUB 221!

Associate Justice
Hello! My name is Morgan Smith. I am a junior Honors student from San Antonio, Texas. I am History major with minors in Sociology and International Business. I am proud to serve the MSU student body as an Associate Justice on the ASMSU Supreme Court. I strongly believe that law is the best means of expression and advocation. ASMSU law and policy should reflect the goals and visions of the student body. I feel that ASMSU can always improve its representation through diversity and engagement. Outside school, I spend most of my free time fly-fishing, hiking, skiing, and reading a good book. Please feel free to reach out and drop by SUB 221 during my office hours.
