When Harold got to MSU his freshman year, he was happy to be with his former high-school classmates from Red Lodge. As his mother, I have fond memories of driving over to Bozeman to do his laundry, run his errands, have lunch with him and then later on clean his apartment. I didn't have to do those things, but I wanted to. It was my excuse to see him and be a part of his life while he was in college. Later on, his brother joined him at MSU and shared his apartment with him. So, I got to come over and do things for both of them. I enjoyed it and considered it a privilege. One special memory while Harold was at MSU, I vividly remember leaving their apartment and watching him walk back to campus. He had his camouflage backpack on. He was walking by the ducks with his back to me. I watched as long as I could before driving away. For some reason, I just wanted to take it all in. Harold also enjoyed the Christian outreach program at the nearby Evangelical Church. He learned a lot there and admired his leaders. While studying business at MSU, he later considered going into ministry. While at MSU, Harold enjoyed hunting and snowboarding. To know him was an honor. He is loved, cherished and missed by his parents, siblings, family and friends. Thank you MSU for remembering him and the students who have passed away.
