| Morphology | Mobiluncus is a genus of Gram-positive, anaerobic, rod-shaped bacteria. These bacteria may be stained either Gram-negative or Gram-variable. However, they are classified as Gram-positive rods due to the fact that they possess a Gram-positive cell wall. |

| Treatment | 500 mg of metronidazole three times a day for seven days. Topical therapy with 2% clindamycin cream once daily for 7 days, clindamycin ovules for 3 days or metronidazole gel 0.75% administered daily for 5 days. |
