Bio

Madison’s research spans emerging infectious diseases and public health in rural and resource-limited communities. She has worked in viral ecology and early SARS-CoV-2 pathogenesis as a Postbaccalaureate IRTA Fellow at the NIH, and later conducted viral immunology research and supported a statewide vaccination campaign during her graduate work. Her experience also includes climate and conservation policy, community engagement, and service on multiple conservation and environmental organization boards. She holds an M.Sc. and a B.S. in Microbiology and Immunology from Montana State University.
