This summer Marissa Ng was back in Glacier National Park surveying the survival and growth of planted whitebark and limber pine seedlings. She and her crew monitored about 1000 trees that ranged from 1 to 25 years old. Excitingly, some of the 25-year-old trees are now over 3 meters tall! The crew also surveyed over 500 vegetation plots to gather data on competition around these trees. They conducted alpine vegetation, fen, and rare plant surveys this summer as well!
